well... a paper mache one anyway. Thanks to NYC teachers participating in the Bronx Zoo's Teacher Professional Development program about Tigers and Other Predators.

The teachers made paper mache animals for our Snow Leopards, bears and tigers.

Here Tundra enjoys his seal, filled with some goodies.

DESMO Day

Fishtail: Loudon, NHMS: May 16, 2011

So I won a Fishtail trackday raffle at last year's DESMO Holiday Party, which I used on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Loudon.  I paid for Terry to join in the fun.  We headed up to New Hampshire on Sunday, driving though lots of rain.  Forecast didn't look good so I brought my SV650 with me, figuring it had better tires for the wet and I didn't want to risk it with the Ninja, besides I figured if I brought the SV, it probably wouldn't rain.  Well my logic held, as we lucked out and it only barely misted a few short times during the trackday!
I had a great time ripping it up with my new found confidence acquired from the California Superbike School day the week prior.

Terry ran out of time to get his track plastics painted, so he decided to let me spray paint them, and asked for my urban camo special. Here he is putting his plastics back on the bike, in the hotel parking lot.... the night before our California Superbike School day (May 9, 2011).

Introducing a new addition to the family: La Guapa

So a former co-worker left the Bronx Zoo for a new position at Santa Barbara..... and I have now adopted his Blue Tegu.  I was told he thought the tegu was a male and I named him "El Guapo"... but now I'm convinced he's a she, so her new name is La Guapa.
